Shoring

“The floor in our kitchen is sagging”… “Some of our pilings have settled”… “We need to replace a section of our concrete foundation”… “We’re building an addition to our home and want to expand the basement as well”… “Our oil tank leaked, and the remediation company needs to dig under a portion of our house”… “Can you help us?” Yes! At Atlantic Structure Movers we’ve been providing shoring services for over 35 years.

Shoring is the process of temporarily supporting a building, vessel, structure, or trench with shores (props) when in danger of collapse, or during repairs or alterations. Shoring comes from ‘shore’ a timber or metal prop. Shoring may be vertical, angled, or horizontal. Foundations for buildings will sometimes settle over time and all structures are liable to experience some movement throughout years, even new houses. House-leveling and shoring may be necessary if a house or building’s foundation have become uneven, started to sag, or are in danger of collapsing, in order to retain a secure foundation for now and the years to come.

Whether you need sagging floors leveled/repaired, structural members repaired/replaced, foundation sections removed/replaced, or any emergency situation, we are here for your shoring needs.

Atlantic Structure Movers works with the homeowner and/or contractors on the project to design a shoring plan allowing for the efficient, effective and timely completion of work, with minimal disturbance to the surrounding area and property.
